Austin Kino was born and raised in Maunalua Bay on the South Shore of Oahu.  As a volunteer with the Polynesian Voyaging Society for the past 16 years Austin has held the role of Watch Captain, Rescue Swimmer an Apprentice Navigator aboard the traditional voyaging canoe the Hōkūle’a.

Austin is a US Coast Guard licensed Boat Captain and certified Jet Ski Operator. For the past 4 years he has served as a member of the Honolulu Fire Department where he works as a Emergency Medical Technician and First Responder with an Ocean Lifeguard Certification.

Throughout his career Austin has worked on a number of productions as a lifestyle model, production coordinator, jet ski camera operator, location scout, and safety coordinator.

Clients include : Olukai, Apple, Patagonia, Maui Jim, YETI, Kona Brewing, Quiksilver, Stanley, Alaskan Hard Gear, Hawaiian Airlines, Reyn spooner etc.
